UBet is a sports betting and casino platform that offers a unique approach to online gaming. By integrating blockchain technology, UBet aims to create a more transparent, secure, and user-centric betting experience. The platform allows users to wager using cryptocurrencies and calculates odds based on data from leading sports betting providers like betradar.com. To bring this innovative concept to life, UBet partnered with VSE Global to develop a robust betting system capable of handling the demands of a decentralized platform.

The UBet project presented several significant challenges that needed to be addressed to ensure the system's success. One of the primary objectives was to develop a system capable of handling 30,000 concurrent users without compromising performance. This required a focus on user experience, ensuring low latency for seamless and responsive interactions.

Traditional (Non-Custodial) Wallet Risks:

• Loss of private keys or backups, resulting in permanent loss of crypto assets.
• Vulnerability to phishing and scams, where users could be tricked into revealing private keys.
• Exposure to malware and keyloggers, which could steal users' private keys from infected devices.
• Accidental sending of crypto assets, potentially causing irreversible loss of funds.

Custodial Wallet Risks:

• Counterparty risks, where the custodial service provider could be hacked, putting users' crypto assets at risk.
• Internal risks, as root users of the infrastructure had full control over the private keys and funds within the system.

Balancing these challenges required a robust and secure system architecture that prioritized performance, user experience, and the safety of users' assets. This intricate balance was essential to meet UBet's objectives and deliver a reliable and efficient platform for their users.

1. Event Processing:

At the heart of the system, VSE Global utilized Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (AWS MSK) for real-time data processing. AWS MSK efficiently ingests and analyzes the vast amounts of data generated by Betradar's sports betting and sports data solutions. This fully managed, highly available, and secure Kafka service enables seamless data pipeline scaling and optimization, ensuring efficient and reliable data processing for live odds updates, game statistics analysis, and real-time insights.

2. Storage Layers:

VSE Global implemented a multi-layered storage solution using:

• RDS Aurora Multi-AZ: For reliable and scalable relational database management.
• Elasticache Redis: To provide high-speed caching for frequently accessed data.
• MongoDB Atlas: To manage NoSQL data storage requirements.

3. Scalability and Performance:

The use of AWS ECS with Auto Scaling was critical in adapting to sudden traffic spikes, particularly during peak sports betting times such as weekends. This ensured the system could handle the dynamic nature of sports betting data efficiently.

4. Security:
